Capturing Love’s Journey: Je and Sarah’s Korean-Inspired & Laid-Back Camping Prenup Shoot

Jerald De Luna and Sarah Jane Guce, both civil engineers, found their lives intersecting unexpectedly in a journey that started years ago in Manila. Fate reunited them during the Chinese New Year holiday in Singapore in 2021, triggering the beginnings of their remarkable love story.

How It All Began

Colleagues’ playful teasing that evening sparked a newfound connection between them. On February 15, 2021, the East Coast Park set the stage for their romantic connection to flourish, eventually solidifying into an official relationship just four weeks later, on March 12, 2021.

Their narrative continued to unfold when Je, despite the distance, sought Sarah’s hand in marriage on her birthday, September 23, 2022. This pivotal moment marked the initiation of their journey towards marital bliss, despite it being the first in-person meeting with Sarah’s parents because of international travel restrictions.

The Pre-Nup Shoot

The thematic inspiration for their prenuptial shoot emerged from their desire for a laid-back ambiance.  This mirrored their initial connection over beer and pizza. Discovering the serene Lake Mapanuepe in Zambales through online travel groups solidified Sarah’s vision for their prenup. There were initial hesitations arose due to logistical constraints.  It was a blend of persistence and a shared fascination with the K-drama “Crash Landing On You.”   This led them to incorporate a Korean-inspired dimension.  They had envisioned their tale within the picturesque landscape.

Their prenuptial shoot became a testament to perseverance and teamwork, as Je and Sarah embarked on a logistical journey to bring their vision to life. The distance posed challenges in coordinating arrangements, with an unforeseen hurdle involving their initially booked accommodation becoming uncontactable. However, this twist of fate led them to Nana’s Farm in San Marcelino, Zambales, a hidden gem offering not only lodging but also cost-effective local guidance and convenient meal arrangements.

The team’s dedication and shared excitement permeated the early morning preparations.  It transformed into a picturesque reality amidst the calmness of Lake Mapanuepe.  Endurance was the key as they navigated different angles and poses.  The running, dancing, and jumping helped capture the essence of their love against the stunning backdrop.

Reflecting on The Shoot

Reflecting on their experience, Je and Sarah advocate authenticity and trust in reliable suppliers.  They also advise thorough planning for couples embarking on their own prenuptial shoots. Amidst the final moments of the shoot, they realized one thing.  It dawned on them both that they were on the brink of a new chapter.   There is actually no turning back for both them.    This is, indeed, it!  This is a sentiment embraced in the Batangas term “baysanan,” signifying the journey to marriage.

Je and Sarah’s prenup stands as a testament to love’s resilience, portraying a journey encompassing serendipitous encounters.  It reflects shared passions, and unwavering commitment. Their narrative celebrates the beauty of unexpected moments and the triumph of love amidst adversity.  Theirs is a story worth cherishing and narrating through the captivating lens of their prenup.
