“We came to the conclusion that if the couple is on a budget and worries about expensive places, it doesn’t matter where the shoot is. All they really need are a positive energy and a creative photographer.”
Newlyweds Rex Mendoza and Katriz Maye Gatdula chose to look to the rich past to build their engagement shoot’s theme. Their settings were a nod to previous dates that included romps in the beach and long walks on the street. But the cherry on top of their versatile theme was a trip to the ancestral house of Jose Rizal’s first love to pay homage to the great romances of yesteryears while including their own modern day courtship experience (a.k.a. Rex’s own “akyat-ligaw”) to the story.
