Rizzalie De Guzman met Van Radcliffe Enrera at a bar and soon after getting to know each other, they became official. “We have been together for 14 years and a month as of this writing,” says Rizz. On January 30, 2019, Van proposed to Rizz at as a finale to Rizz’s sister’s wedding. Though their wedding preparations have been delayed by the pandemic, they’re finally walking down the aisle soon.
Van and Rizz’s unique engagement theme is inspired by Rizz, who’s a big fan of Taeyang of Bigbang. The couple chose to recreate Taeyang’s music video where he met his wife, Min Hyo-rin. “The storytelling in the music video kind of reflects our own love story as well,” Van says.
What’s the theme of your engagement shoot?
Kpop/Storytelling MV inspired by Taeyang’s 1AM Music Video.
Any special reason why you selected this theme?
Even before we got engaged, my fiance, who is a big fan of Taeyang ( from the Kpop boyband Bigbang) , has been bringing up the idea that this would be a good concept for a prenup shoot because it’s unique, an we can also remake our idol’s MV where he met his wife, Min Hyo-rin . The story telling in the MV itself kind of reflects our own love story as well.
Tell us about your wedding planning process.
Wedding planning has been challenging since we are both busy with work, planning was delayed due to the pandemic and we were also in a long-distance relationship for two years. Van just got back from Taiwan in November 2021. We still have small details to finalize but we have booked all major suppliers as of this time.
We first booked the major suppliers (like the venue, caterer, photo, and video) then we followed up with the rest. The theme for the e-session is on the top of our list and we made the right choice selecting Photofarm Digital Collaboration for our photos and videos. We are still waiting and excited for the final MV e-session.
What advice or tips can you give to couples planning their prenup photoshoot during this time?
It’s a once in a lifetime event so we suggest you go for a theme that you really want, prepare, and then go for it! Selecting a good photo and video team would also be crucial as they should make the shoot as comfortable as possible for the couple.
