Last July 3, the Marriott Grand Ballroom turned into a dreamscape as celebrated designer Mak Tumang unveiled his breathtaking bridal creations at Marry Me @ Marriott. Known for his dramatic silhouettes and opulent detailing (hello, Lava Gown! hi, Catriona!), Tumang once again proved why he’s a favorite among modern fairytale brides.

Each gown that glided down the runway told a story — from sculptural bodices inspired by baroque art to flowing richly embroidered and sequinned skirts that shimmered like moonlight. Rich in Filipino craftsmanship and couture-level technique, Tumang’s latest collection blended tradition with innovation. Think floral embroidery, intricate beadwork, and bold architectural draping that made each bride look like royalty. For today’s brides who dream of a wedding look that’s both extra and elegant, Tumang’s designs were nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Adding to the excitement was the first-ever Marry Me Photo Competition organized by Themes & Motifs in partnership with WPPP (Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines) and Marriott Bonvoy. It was a rare chance for some of the country’s best lensmen to capture couture up close — framing the drama of each gown, the emotion behind every model’s gaze, and the ethereal setting of the show. The result? A visual symphony of light, texture, and bridal dreams that lived beyond the runway.
