This year’s edition, rebranded as the “Luxuriant Expo,” marks the fourth season of the A‑Fair and the first time it joins forces with the 9th Annual Calgary International Fashion & Arts Week (CIFAW)—a partnership that underscores a global‑meets‑local blend of glocal creativity and runway glamour. With the theme “Home,” CIFAW’s Philippine Fashion Weekend invited both Filipino pride and global vision to take center stage.

Guests gathered at the MGBX Exhibition Hall to witness a ceremony rich in winning momenta and leadership. Representatives from Marriott Bonvoy, Themes & Motifs, and Spotlight Couronne Internationale (SCI) welcomed attendees and spoke to the expo’s goal: celebrating Filipino artistry while fostering international collaboration in weddings, events, fashion, and the arts.

There were three fashion runway schedules that followed the opening ceremony alongside special exhibits by visual artists like Fumiya Sankai, a photo competition by the Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines (WPPP), and a book launch by Mayumi Cruz.

Walking into the expo, guests were greeted by a kaleidoscope of stalls showcasing premium wedding vendors, event planners, photography exhibits, couture displays, and art installations. Admission was confirmed as free to the public, encouraging broad participation and inclusivity.

As the ribbon was cut and ceremonial speeches concluded, the atmosphere shifted seamlessly into an afternoon of mingling, runway previews, and artistic inspiration. The opening ceremony on July 26 set a celebratory tone that truly embodied Marriott’s vision: to transform events into winning moments and showcase Filipino creativity to the world in a luxuriant, unforgettable fashion.
