Bogs Ignacio and Mark Octavio Emerge Cream of the Crop
In a dazzling fusion of fashion and photography, Themes & Motifs Bridal Fairs and Wedding Expos, Marriott Bonvoy, and the Wedding & Portrait Photographers of the Philippines (WPPP) made history with the 1st Marry Me @ Marriott Bridal Fashion Photo Competition, launched in celebration of the 11th anniversary of Marry Me @ Marriott last July 3, 2025 at the Manila Marriott Grand Ballroom. This is also known as the Gideon Hermosa Anniversary Edition.
Best in Runway Photo

Photographers captured the high-octane glamour of the couture runway, which featured creations by Filipino fashion masters including Michael Cinco, Rajo Laurel, Mak Tumang, Francis Libiran, Vania Romoff, and Michael Leyva in a showstopping production designed by Gideon Hermosa. The Runway Category winner, Bogs Ignacio, was chosen for an image that masterfully combined movement, elegance, and theatrical flair.

Best in Behind the Scenes / Sidelights

In contrast to the spotlight, the Sidelights / Behind the Scenes Category honored photography that revealed the authenticity behind the glitz. Mark Octavio of Tynta Creatives emerged as the winner, praised for his candid and emotional storytelling that captured a tender, dramatic, unseen winning moment offstage.

Marriott’s Choice Award
A special distinction, the Marriott’s Choice Award, was presented to the photographer whose work best represented Marriott’s brand of elegance, luxury, and heartfelt service. This winner was handpicked by the Marriott executive judges for embodying the spirit of Marry Me @ Marriott in visual form—capturing warmth, sophistication, and story in a single frame.

A Prestigious Judging Panel
The distinguished panel of judges included Fashion Director Joey Espino, Themes & Motifs’ Sharon Fabian, and Marriott’s own leaders—Archie Nicasio, Lala Quilantang, and Jaron Nepomuceno—who collectively evaluated 80 entries from 20 master WPPP lensmen .
The winners were officially announced during the August 2025 General Membership Meeting of WPPP, cementing their place in the industry’s visual hall of fame.
From runway grandeur to heartfelt sidelines, and the signature Marriott touch—this competition marks the beginning of a new tradition in bridal fashion photography.
