Their story began in November 2017, in the bustling corridors of college life. Fresh from previous relationships, Noee and Amiel were not actively seeking love. However, fate had other plans. “Our buildings were far apart, with no chance of bumping into each other. But through common friends, we met and felt an instant connection,” recalls Amiel. This connection blossomed into a beautiful relationship, filled with quality time and deep understanding. However, despite their amazing connection, their Season 1 unexpectedly ended with a breakup.
Season 2: A Pandemic Reunion
The pandemic, an unlikely catalyst, marked the beginning of Season 2. After years without contact, a simple conversation rekindled the flame. “We stayed up until 5 AM just catching up,” Amiel shares. This unexpected reunion led them to fall in love all over again, proving that their love was meant to endure.
The Perfect Proposal Story
With their renewed love, thoughts of a future together became more pronounced. Amiel knew it was time to take the next step. The proposal, set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Fuji, was nothing short of a fairytale. “No one knew I was going to propose. I told them the morning of,” Amiel reveals. Amidst the perfect scenery and an intimate moment, Noee said ‘Yes’ to a lifetime with Amiel. “It was as clear as the sky, we were meant to be,” Amiel fondly recalls.
Advice from the Groom-to-be
Amiel advises others planning to propose to be on the same page with their partner. “Make sure you both are ready for this new stage,” he says. He also emphasizes the importance of family, having sought blessings from Noee’s family. “Prior to our engagement, we both talked about it a lot. Getting engaged, the wedding, the marriage, and our future,” says Amiel. “Noee’s Dad passed away a couple of years ago so I made sure I took the time to see and ask him. I also made sure I asked both her Mom and Grandparents. This was really important for the both of us.”
The Bride-to-be’s Perspective
For Noee, the proposal was a dream come true. “I had a hint it might happen, but the moment was still overwhelming,” she shares. Her preparedness, right down to her nails, added a humorous touch to an already perfect day.
