Some love stories start with grand gestures. Others begin with a simple, everyday moment that unexpectedly changes everything. For Annalyn Jane “Anna” Martin and Michael Dan “Mike” Martin, their blush wedding story began in a college classroom with a piece of paper.

“It was our Values class,” Anna laughs. “I asked if he could lend me a sheet of paper, and he did. That was the first spark. From there, we started chatting, sending each other DMs… and the rest, as they say, is history.”
That small act of kindness led to a love that would stretch across 14 years, filled with milestones, growth, and shared dreams. On December 1, 2024, they sealed it all with a promise to love and cherish one another forever.

A Blush Wedding Fourteen Years in the Making
By the time they stood at the altar, Anna and Mike had already weathered so much together. From the excitement of college life to building their careers, their bond was built on time, trust, and mutual respect.
Their engagement came on December 31, 2020, which brought a perfect end to a challenging year, and the beginning of a new chapter.
Planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something classic, elegant, and timeless. a celebration that reflected the depth of their journey and the simplicity of their beginnings.
The Ceremony: A Sacred Start
The couple chose the Caleruega Chapel of Transfiguration as the venue for their ceremony. Nestled in Tagaytay’s rolling hills, the chapel’s glass walls and serene gardens offered the perfect setting for a heartfelt “I do.”

Walking down the aisle with the soft light filtering through the windows, Anna looked every bit the vision she had always imagined—graceful, calm, and glowing with joy.
The Reception: A Blush Wedding Celebration
After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to the Aquila Crystal Palace, where the couple’s theme came to life. The color palette (blush, rose gold, champagne, peach, and a touch of burgundy for the principal sponsors) created a soft and romantic atmosphere. Every detail, from the table settings to the floral arrangements, felt thoughtful and refined.

“We wanted it to feel timeless,” Anna shares. “Something we could look back on years from now and still love.”
Lessons Learned (and a Bit of Humor)
Like many couples, Anna and Mike discovered that wedding planning comes with its own learning curve.
Their advice? “Don’t fight,” Anna jokes. “Seriously—just breathe, take breaks when you need to, and try not to burn yourselves out.”
Planning ahead, she says, made a huge difference. Booking suppliers early not only gave them peace of mind, but also unlocked a few discounts along the way. It really helped that they were certain about what they wanted to have during their wedding, especially since there was no take two.

The Heart of It All
When asked what made their day truly unforgettable, Anna doesn’t hesitate.
“It’s the fact that we made it. We’ve seen each other through so much—college, career changes, all of it. And now we’re finally here, officially starting the next chapter.”
Planning your own wedding? Anna and Mike leave you with this final bit of wisdom:
- Be organized, but don’t lose the joy.
- Do your background checks because your suppliers make all the difference.
- Take breaks and come back refreshed.
- Most of all, remember the real reason for the day: you two becoming one.
Because sometimes, it only takes one sheet of paper to begin forever.
