Made With Love: The Garden-Inspired Wedding of Carlo and Banny

In the heart of Manila, amidst the urban hustle, Carlo Villafuerte and Banny Belale found a slice of Eden for their most awaited day. United in love on October 18, 2023, their story is a testament to the beauty of enduring love and the magic of a garden-inspired wedding, even in the city’s heart.

Banny and Carlo’s journey began in the corridors of CEU Manila, where they blossomed from classmates to soulmates. Eight years of love, with long-distance hurdles, culminated in a romantic proposal in Thailand. Their love, like a well-tended garden, grew stronger with each passing day.

Choosing the Perfect Setting for a Garden-Inspired Wedding

Despite their dream of a garden wedding, the couple opted for a city venue to accommodate their families from far-flung areas. They chose the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus for their ceremony and The Grand Ballroom at City of Dreams for their reception. Their compromise? Infusing the essence of a garden into every aspect of their wedding.

A Palette Inspired by Nature

The couple’s color motif was an ode to their garden-inspired wedding dream. Forest and emerald green for the entourage, complemented by sage green for the maids of honor, captured the vibrancy of nature. This palette, set against the crisp white of the reception décor, created an elegant and refreshing ambiance.

Overcoming Challenges Together

Finding a venue that resonated with their garden-inspired wedding vision while being accessible was a challenge. Initially set on a venue in Quezon City, they shifted to Pasay for its convenience. This decision was a turning point, leading them to the ideal blend of urban accessibility and garden charm.

The Big Day: A Garden-Inspired Wedding Fantasy

Carlo, in a unique shade of green suit, and Banny, in a stunning two-way style gown, set the tone for the day. The ceremony, transformed into a garden paradise by stylist Jayson Himor, was a blend of asters and white flowers, creating a magical aisle for Banny’s walk towards her future.

The reception was a dreamy garden in itself. Styled by Drew Menor, the all-white theme with pops of green brought their garden wedding vision to life. The highlight was the couple’s first dance, a choreographed piece to “You Are The Reason,” symbolizing their harmonious journey together.

Lessons Learned and Advice Shared

Their biggest takeaway? Planning ahead is crucial. From attending bridal fairs to choosing the right suppliers, every detail counts. Banny and Carlo emphasize the importance of a good coordinator, ensuring a stress-free experience, allowing them to immerse fully in their special day. “Cherish every time you have because you will all miss it,” the couple says.

Banny and Carlo’s wedding was more than a celebration of their union; it was a beacon of inspiration. Their garden-inspired wedding in the city proves that with creativity, flexibility, and love, any dream can come to fruition. Their story encourages every couple to nurture their vision and watch it bloom into a beautiful reality.
