Mayumi Cruz: Author and Artist Mayumi Cruz is a storyteller of words and visuals—bound by imagination, inspired by everything. Whether through storytelling or visual art, she creates pieces that inspire, provoke thought, and reflect the beauty of creative freedom.
As an author she writes diverse, cross-genre fiction with emotionally-charged and thought-provoking plots. Her books Chroma Hearts: A Psychological Thriller, and The Black Widow, have received awards and recognition. Some of Mayumi’s writings have also appeared in Philippines Graphic, AdHoc Fiction and The Drabble. She also founded the writing community, Pinoy Indie Authors in 2023 to empower and support independent Filipino writers.

To date, Mayumi has written and published over twenty (20) books, available online and in print. Four of her books are also available in select Fully Booked branches in Metro Manila.
As an artist, she creates traditional and digital art and has joined online and physical exhibitions. Her paintings can be described as vivid, dreamy and beckoning—art that whispers, glows, and pulls the viewer in.
