For Spider-Man fans who have been rooting for Tom Holland and Zendaya since Spider-Man: Homecoming, this plot development might just be the sweetest one yet.
The couple reportedly celebrated their marriage with family and friends at Beaverbrook, a luxury country estate in Surrey, England. The private gathering took place on August 4, continuing the famously low-key approach Tom and Zendaya have taken to their relationship over the years. Zendaya’s longtime stylist and close friend Law Roach surprised fans by revealing that “the wedding has already happened,” later insisting that the famously private couple had managed to keep their big day to themselves.
And the setting was certainly worthy of Hollywood royalty. Beaverbrook is a historic country estate surrounded by hundreds of acres of English countryside, with manicured gardens, elegant interiors, a spa, restaurants, and plenty of privacy. Once the home of newspaper magnate Lord Beaverbrook, the gorgeous property has welcomed famous guests throughout its history, including Winston Churchill and Elizabeth Taylor.
For a couple who has spent much of their relationship avoiding the spotlight when they’re off-screen, the secluded location feels fitting.
The celebration comes after years of watching Tom and Zendaya’s relationship unfold alongside their Spider-Man story. The two met while working on 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, playing Peter Parker and MJ, before eventually confirming their real-life romance in 2021. They became engaged in late 2024.
That history makes the occasion particularly fun for Marvel fans. Peter Parker and MJ may have had one of the MCU’s more complicated love stories, but their real-life counterparts appear to have found a much happier ending.
Or perhaps, considering Spider-Man: Brand New Day brought Tom and Zendaya back to the big screen together this year, we should call it a brand-new beginning.
