Choose, Choose, Your Train

What wedding gown train type suits you for that much awaited dramatic walk down the aisle?
These  Geo + Me wedding gowns, a Marriott Moments A Fair exhibitor (Juy 23 & 24 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom MGBx),  present you with some good examples.

The trains may be from teh shoulder like a cape, the waist, or the hem.  They are usually classifed or named according to their length

1. Sweep or Brush Train

The sweep or brush train is approximately 6 inches from teh hem of your gown and is so named because it “sweeps” or “brushes” the ground you walk on.  This type of train is easiest to manage and appropriate in most instances because it is just like your other gowns, only more fabulous 😉

2.  Chapel or Church Train

This extends 12 to 18 inches behind you.  Very popular since it adds a little more drama to your gown and makes your wedding gown feel more fabulous than your other gowns.

3.  Cathedral Train

A cathedral is bigger than a chapel in every sense of the word.  Thus,  the cathedral train typically trails behind you by about 2 feet and would need your attention when posing for pics so the details may be shown.

4.  Royal or Monarchy Train

You are after all, a queen on your wedding day.  This train drives home the point with more than a yard of fabric that trails behind you.  Needless to say,  your royal subjects (aka bridesmaids or wedding coordinators 😉  will need to assist you come up with picture perfect poses that show the royal train in all its glory.

5.  Watteau

This type of train will make you feel very regal as it attaches near your shoulder like a cape.
