All-White ‘Match Made in Heaven’ Grand Wedding

Alfonso and Angela used their love story as inspiration for their wedding.
What you post online matters these days because as this couple will tell you, it may just lead to your true love.

“I met Angela through a mutual friend of ours who showed me her Instagram,” says Alfonso. “The first night we met each other was inside a speakeasy bar.”

Almost as if on cue, Alfonso and Angela both say that once they met, the rest was history. “We were inseparable since that day,” Alfonso says.

Alfonso Iñigo Hortaleza and Angela Kristine Mulach were wed on March 1, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Cubao, Angela’s parish.   Their reception followed at Shangri-La at The Fort where they had a “match made in heaven” themed celebration.

It’s quite the perfect theme for the two who dated two and a half years before settling down.

“We wanted an all-white wedding that sets us apart from others, so we decided to incorporate the ethereal feeling by creating clouds through the reception.  We used fresh gypsophila to complete the look,” says Angela.

She says on her Instagram that reception stylist Randy Lazaro, together with Ronald The King and Teena Barretto,  created the magic and she only tried to reach out to him after seeing his work on her feed. “We wanted to give him a shot but he really went beyond our expectations with a better cost,” she says. “All our guests were raving about how unique and elegant the place was!”

There were no major adjustments for Angela and Alfonso’s wedding.  But they had to move the wedding date after a lockdown had been declared during their original schedule. Unfortunately, their fresh flower shipment had already arrived in the Philippines by then.  So they asked help from friends in the wedding industry to sell the flowers they would not be able to use.

Angela and Alfonso also had a civil wedding on September 9, 2021.

For their church wedding, Angela’s most memorable moments were walking down the aisle with her father, reading their vows, and the couple’s first dance.

Her advice for couples is to “get a good coordinator! This is really a must!”
